The STAND Foundation's mission is to empower individuals and organizations through leadership training that promotes economic opportunities, social progress and community development.
Mentoring Tomorrow's Leaders Today!
The first public initiative launched by the foundation was The STAND Foundation Edward Coleman Leadership Institute, which provides leadership training in the areas of personal, career and leadership development augmented by online curriculum over two years. Current sites are in Little Rock, Pine Bluff and El Dorado.
During the program A minimum of four training sessions of the Leadership Institute are conducted in the state in selected communities within a period of one year. Continual training occurs between training sessions through Internet-based instruction, with a follow up year of online mentoring
After the program
Many leaders take their training and experience at the Institute and directly apply it in the workforce or on their campus.
